The Christian Jukebox Interview with
Terry Webster
How many years have you been singing and how did you start?
Terry Webster: I have been singing since I was child. However, my real talent is with the Trumpet. I started playing trumpet in the 7th grade. I immediately fell in love with the instrument and have been playing it for over 25 years now.
What is your vision for your ministry?
TW: Our goal is to reach anybody that is seeking that missing element in their life. So many people (of all ages) are walking around aimlessly looking for something to satisfy all their needs, yet have not realized that it is something as simple as just asking Jesus. The music is our instrument for this ministry. We were told a long time ago that as long as our music keeps the “Blood of Jesus” in it, Jesus will use us.
Who are the current members?
TW: Well, this is a little complicated. Our band is made up of a collection of various musicians that may or may not perform at any given time. The primary leaders are me, my wife and several other friends in the ministry.
Tell us about some of your ministry highlights (2-3)
TW: As a trumpet player, I have had the opportunity to perform for and minister with several key artists in the industry. Although this has been a blessing, I really love the blessings we receive when we are used to reach someone that is really struggling in life.
What project(s) are you currently involved in?
TW: We are in the process of ramping up for a new tour season starting late this fall that will run through 2008. We will be ministering through youth camps, block parties, special events and many other opportunities.
Is there one thing/event/performance that has had a major influence, or was a life changing experience for you that you would like to share?
TW: There have been several events that have really influenced our ministry. I think the most moving moment was during a Youth Revival in which the youth were completely involved in the music. Youth of today are under so much pressure. It was good to see them relax, listen, enjoy and be able to let their guard down long enough to hear the true message of Jesus Christ. There were several decisions made that night, but the seeds were planted in so many others.
What artists have influenced you?
TW: Well, as a trumpet player Phil Driscoll would be my first pick! He is truly an anointed instrumentalist. Others that have influenced my music are Carman, Bill Gaither, Truth, Newsong, Chris Tomlin, Tommy Walker, and many others…
What are some of your future ambitions?
TW: There are several events within the last year that have opened up several possibilities for ministry for me and my wife. There were struggles for us through these events, but Jesus is still working on both of us and preparing us for the next phase of our life. Stay tuned for more in the future.
Which song from your latest album are you most proud of, and why?
TW: Amazing Grace. This song has always been a favorite of mine. In a lot of ways this is my testimony song. Jesus has blessed me with His Amazing Grace.

What message do you want listeners to take away from this song?
TW: No matter what you have done in the past, Jesus will cover you with His Amazing Grace. He loves us all. He hates sin, but He loves us more. Just ask Him. He will hear you!
